i know Sarah pedi wont prescribe antibiotics unless it has been more than 7 days. Does it sound like it is in his chest, or if he runs a fever i would take him to have him checked anyways. |

I read in a magazine where a mother put Vicks vapor rub on her chest and then let her child rest their head against her. I don't know if it would work, but I would check with your pediatrician first. |

Try a nice warm bath using that soothing vapors bath stuff from johnson and johnson, and them put on a nice warm footed sleeper and put vicks on the bottom of his feet and chest, in the arm pits and on the back. Try putting a small pillow under his mattres to raise his head up a little bit. Some pedi's will reccomend dimeatap or triaminic, i prefer dimeatap, and a cool mist humidifier, but make sure you bleach it first just to make sure there are no extra germs that will get thrown into the air. Other than that it just takes time, but those are what i have found that make a cold a little more bearable, plus extra love!! |

Your doing the right thing with saline drops. Also put his crib at an incline by placing books under the cribs weals, that way his head is elevated. Use baby vicks on his chest and back, and use a humidifire. If he gets a fever use tylenol and call your ped. |
