My baby is 3 months old and she is starting to get fussy during feedings. Well, she can't really keep still when I breastfeed her, and she seems to still be hungry after I feed her. I just want to know some of the signs that tell me she is ready for cereal and when everyone else started feeding there child cereal. Thanks. |

Hi Karri, I wouldn't give cereal unless your ped says it is ok. Babies have trouble digesting it until about 5 or 6 months. Do you have a boppy pillow or a baby sling? She may not feel secure while you are breastfeeding and be moving around because of that. Talk with your ped, they might recomend a little formula if she is not gaining weight. I started giving my daughter cereal at 5 months. :-) |

Hi Karri. My ped said it was okay to start cereal at 4 months. Talk to her dr though and see what they say. Like Jackie said he/she may suggest a little formula or water. |

Fussy during feedings and can't keep still, sounds like a milk supply issue. Check with your dr and lactation specialist. Babies are to young for cereal at 3months. Mine is 5.5 months and is breastfeed exclusively. Good luck. |
