Hi Ashley,
I know what you mean about not having anyone to talk to about breastfeeding. When I decided to nurse my first baby, my family thought that I was nuts! No one else in the family had ever done that, so I was the weird one. Well, that is not entirely true, my sister nursed her baby for 3-4 months. But it is hard to do something without your family's support. I am glad that you found this group, and I hope that you get the support that you need. If you have any questions, I am happy to answer them for you.

I was very lucky and had tons of family support BUT I too was pretty much the first out of all my friends to have a baby. There are times when you need someone who is going through the same thing as you are. The saddest thing is that there needs to be support groups for breastfeeding. It is something EVERYONE should support even if they choose not to do it. (Stepping off my soapbox) Anyhoo, I really hope that this group becomes a great support system for all of us. In these crazy parenting days, us milk makers need to stick together. Welcome, Ashley.
