Breastfeeding Mommies

New to the group!
Hi everyone!
I'm new to this group. My son is 8 months old and I still breastfeed him mostly at night, maybe a couple times during the day and if he wakes up at night (like 5-6 am). I want to stop nursing him but I'm not sure how to. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to slowly wean him off of breastfeeding? Especially since he does eat regular food - he has a really good appetite, but he will still settle for a nursing afterwards. What should I do?
I hope to meet new people and make new friends.

I think you should start by cutting out the night feeding. I haven't fed my daughter at night in at least 3 months. They don't need to be fed at night it's just a comfort thing. There have only been a few times that I have fed Harlee at night since she was 16 weeks. And usually it was my fault because I had her up late. If she wakes up at night she doesn't even cry anymore. I still breast feed her four times during the day. I plan to do that until she is at least a year old. That way I wont have to buy formula.
