Good Saturday Afternoon to you all!
I've been wasting an incredibly large amount of time on the Internet this morning - something I do about once a week to destress from answering emails, writing blogs, researching homeschool & other topics, and maintaining (not very well) my website.
Today, I've been playing on some free download sites -- and I thought I'd share them with you in case you are interested. Sometimes it's like trying to find a diamond in a pile cz, but, just like that, it's worth it when you find something that makes your life easier.
SO THE TOPIC IS: Where do you like to waste time on the internet?
~www.download300.com ~www.freedownloadmanager.com ~www.download.com - the one I've used most - check out Roboform if you fill out a lot of online forms, or regularly go a lot of places where you have to use a username and password
Disclaimer: Not all of the programs listed on these sites are good quality, and I suppose some could contain viruses, so make sure your anti-virus software is up-to-date. |

I too goof off on-line. I usually play cubis 2 on Yahoo games or I go to www.jigzone.com. I like finding puzzles/crosswords to do. I also look at the local real estate listings, we are planning to sell our house and get a larger one. |

I love to look at Food Network, familyfun.com and flylady.net. Those three help me keep organized, plan fun family outings, crafts etc. and I'm big on cooking with my hubby and kids on the weekend. My kids are very young, so down time is at a minimum, but quick games of solitare before going to bed keep me entertained. |

I think the question should be where DON'T I waste time on the internet. *laugh*
I run several yahoo groups and belong to many others. One of them I've run for 7 years now. I am a pogo junkie and love to do the weekly badges on pogo.com. I also love iTunes and spend a bizarre amount of time browsing things like podcasts and TV shows to download. I also like to browse people's blogs and spend several hours a week doing that and then, of course, writing on both of my own. |

I like to go to some MSN groups that either I run, help run or just to relax and enjoy. I also enjoy looking at other people's blogs. I also enjoy just looking for things we might be studing and finding out more intresting tid bits about it. |

OK, I'm gonna be the rebel and say, "I NEVER wast time on the computer!" Why do I say that? Well, I feel that everytime I'm on the internet I'm either doing research for homeschooling, investigating something that interests me, gathering information for someone in my family, or destressing by playing games or having "serious" indepth conversations with my "BFF" Kelly on Yahoo IM!!!!
Truthfully, I don't get enough time on the computer to be wasteful with it! But, there are days (few and far between) when I tell everyone that I am going to be on the computer for the whole day; they are not to bug me or ask to "get on the computer"!!! On those few and far between days, I answer e-mails, read and post blogs, and just look up stuff that interests me (gardening, getting chickens, fantasy vacation sites, etc.)!!! |
