Teething simptoms
My baby is six months old and it seems like she's teething since she was about 3-4 months old but I'm not so sure if she is in real pain or not.
Sometimes she gets quite cranky and bites my fingers real hard. If I can't settle her down in a while then I would give teething tablets. It seems though everytime I give her teething tablets she seems to settle instantly and make me feel like teething was not the cause of the crankiness.
She did not seem so bothered after all as long as I occupy her by playing with her. Can this be real teething? I don't want to give unnecessary medication eventhough they say it's all natural. How much are they in pain usually and at what point should I decide to give tablets?

Some of the teething signs include, pulling of the ear, rubbing gum, drooling, and restless sleep at night.

James too seems to show signs of teething as early as 2 months but actually didn't cut any teeth until he was almost 7 months. I used to give him teething tablets until I spoke with his pedi. Hyland teething tablets has an ingredient called belladonna. Belladonna is actually a plant called deadly nightshade. It's a hallucinate and people sometimes use it as a recreational drugs. I realized why every time I give my son these teething tablets, he would instantly calm down. He was "high".

I use Tylenol to help with his teething discomfort. The amount will depend on your baby's weight, so check with your pedi to find out how much you should give her.

Hi...my daughter is 10 months and she had been teething since she was 3-4 months too...she did not cut a tooth until she was 7 months old. She too had/has the same symptoms... never drooled only puts her hands in her mouth. From what I have learned from other mothers is that the teething tabs are safe and the amount of belladonna alkaloid is minimal. Try tylenol occ too or a cold wash cloth, although Ange never cared for that! LOL. The teething tabs does help them instantly and this is going to continue for along time!! so my advise to you is to keep doing what your doing, your on the right track!
