Hello Everyone!
Hey, I am Ashley. I am a 22 year old single mom to Landon, my 3 year old boy. I currently live in Raleigh, NC where I am an account coordinator. I have been with my company since September 6, 2005 but started out in Mississippi. I had relationship troubles with my sons sperm donor so in order to get away from him, I had my company transfer me to NC. I do not have any family up here, just a few friends - none with children. There's really not too much more to say. A friend and co-worked suggested I find a support group because I am having quite a few issues right now in life (what's new?) so I did a google search and found rasingthem. So here I am... I look forward to meeting other people in my situation. =)

Hi Ashley! I am new to this group too, but welcome. :) Sounds like you have alot of changes going on. It must be hard to move away from home and start over. I moved back home when I got pregnant and I keep wondering when I will be independant again. Are your friends supportive? I think it's nice to read through the posts and see that I am not alone and not going crazy. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you want to talk.

Hi Ashley, moves are difficult on anyone. The good thing; your job. Two years with a company, and they transferred you, must mean you are a very good employee and they don't want to lose you.

Moves can be lonely, not knowing anyone, friends, family. Give yourself some time to fit in, and you will be "walking with the flow" or as so they say.

You mentioned your 3 year old son, who is watching him? You might also want to check out your local library for events, childrens storytime etc.

Hang in there, we are here for you. Peace always, kellie
