help me
my 2 year old will not stop saying no

i read somewhere that instead of saying, "do you want your carrots?" thus giving an opportunity to say, "no," you should try, "do you want carrots or peas?" that leaves no logical reason for saying, "no." i know 2 yr olds aren't always logical but, it may be worth a shot. good luck!

It sounds like he is right on target! My 231/2 mo old is saying no or shaking his head no every chance he gets. I just don't focus on it. All my readings advise trying to say no yourself as much as possible. I try to offer choices such as do you want to wear this shirt or that shirt etc instead of do you want to get dressed....Good luck! Janet
