Has your child(ren) every attended school outside of the home?
Kelly's answer: Both of my children attended public schools. Daniel attended K-7. I took him out of middle school due to social, emotional, and bullying reasons.
Rachel attended K-5. I took her out because she was learning negative social behavior.
I took them out of school for social reasons, but I am gaining such a new focus "academically" that I'm glad they're out for those reasons also. |

My children are too young to attend. They are 3 1/2 and 1, so I hope my answer will always be no. However, one thing I've learned in my "short" 40 years is that you never know what's around the next corner. |

My daughter attended Pre K thru the first two months of the 3 grade.
I took her out because of emotional reasons due to bullying and mistreatment by her teacher due to my daughter wearing sunglasses to school because of an eye injury, which was able to heal completely, once I took her out and she could wear her sunglasses whenever She Wanted....
Imuch prefer homeschooling and the subjects she was having trouble in public schools, are her best subjects at home.

Funny how that happens - their worst subjects becoming their favorites when they get into homeschooling.
Daniel still swears he hates math, but when we were using the Keys to Algebra worktexts, he couldn't wait to do it each day. And whenever we learn someway that math applies to something we are doing (cooking, building, figuring gas mileage, etc) he gets really excited! |

My oldest son, Michael, went to private schooling from Pre-K to 5th grade. Then , he attended public school from 6th grade & part of 7th grade. My middle son, Jerrett, went to private schooling from Pre-K to 2nd grade. He attended public school part of 3rd grade. My youngest, Isaac, is only 3 so he hasn't attended private or public schooling. If I could have afford to, I would have kept sending my boys to the private school, but the cost went up, but our income did not. We tried public school, & it didn't work out for them. So, we have been homeschooling ever since. ~Cassandra |
