Let's get this thing going...
OK, Kimberly, what's St. Mary's like? Give me the scoop if you would. I'm so ready to get out of VA! I've been to the area (St. Mary's) to visit family and I liked it. I"m a small town girl from Texas so I think it'll suit me. Can you hang on for a playdate for about 5 months? If I really start hatin' it here, I'm moving sooner. My hubby and I will be separated anyway so what's a few more months? I'm kinda new to the Navy thing too so we can scratch our heads together! Tricare is a hoot to figure out!

St. Marys is a nice place, I really like it. However, there is not a lot to do unless you go to Jacksonville, FL. What part of Texas are you from? Is your husband on a sub? I am sorry that there really isn't a whole lot to tell you about the area but we really haven't had the time to go do much as a family to scope things out.

I totally understand about not having time to scope things out. Yes, Anton is on a sub that's moving down there at the end of the year. I'm planning on heading out of here just as soon as we have a clearer picture of when they'll finish the junk here; hopeully sooner rather than later. The traffic here is murder! I know St. Mary's is small and you have to go to JAX for most cool stuff but airfare is a ton cheaper there so that's another bonus. Is your hubby on a sub? What's the family association like for his boat?
I'm originally from West Texas but lived everywhere from Dallas, College Station to Corpus Christi. I've been Navy just a short while but I'm a pro at moving since I bounced all over TX. We're planning on a "recon" trip to look at houses/ areas, etc this summer.
I love the Santa pic with Brook. I can't wait til Josh stays awake in Santa's lap. He totally crashed this year and slept through it! He was only a month and half old but it was Santa!
Have you by chance checked with some of the local churches for Mommy Groups? A lot of times they meet there or offer Mother's Day out. If not, we'll just start one at the end of the year!
