I haven't but I can tell you that C-sections are major sergery I had one too but didn't have hardley any pain after wards.. It take time to heal after a c-section from the inside outThat's why it is said that you should wait 18 months before trying to concieve again and have another baby after a c-section to let your body fully recover. It's not all in your head dear. The doctor needs to talk to your hubby about this major surgery you had, and PPD. |

I'm so sorry your going through this. It's not in your head! See what your doctor comes up with. At least he's taking you serioulsy. Men have no clue. There not the ones whos bodies change, they don't have to have major surgery at the last minute!
Hope the tests show what's wrong. OR it sounds like you could have an infection. C secion is very deep major surgey. If one of the doctors didn't wash his or her hands properly ( 20 seconds - a verse of Happy Birthday) then you may have an infection. |

Hello, I had a c-section too. I had pain where the muscles had been cut for the longest time. I figured it was the healing of the muscles and nerves. I had joint and muscle pain before I gave birth, having a baby does quite a number on your body and this takes a long time to heal from. It could be from your PPD, definitly go for the tests just to be sure. Have your hubby read up on these things too so he will have a better understanding of whats going on. I hope you feel better soon. |

Hi Amanda,
I also had a C-section in January. Even though I started to feel better couple of months after the surgery, the muscle pain from the incision didn't go away until recently. If my son kicks me in the area, it is still uncomfortable. It takes time for any type of surgery to completely heal. It has been 8 months since my c-section and now I can say I don't even think about the discomfort unless my son kicks me in the stomach.
In regards to PPD, I personally can relate. PPD can amplify pain and fatigue. At least your doctor is taking this serious and not dismissing it like it is all in your head. There is nothing worse than being dismissed by a doctor telling you it is all in your head.
It is hard when your husband is treating you like you are being a baby. Have you tried to look up any articles on the internet and have him read it? I used to do this when some family members were being very insensitive by making jokes about some of my deficits I developed from a serious health problem I had in 2002. |

I forgot to clairfy, the pain i'm having isn't from my c-section, it's in my muscles and joints. My feet are the worst, i wake up in the morning and i can barely walk. I've gone to a chiropractor and to a massage therapist several times and they both only help for a short time. My hands also hurt alot too, and recently my right shoulder is very painful and inflamed in the morning. I don't know what the cause is and just wondering if anyone else has had the same problems |

I dont want to sound dumb but are you eating a good diet? Being pregnant drains the calcium from your body, and takes a while to get back. I have trouble eating good now that emilie is here. |

My mom has fibromyalgia. All her drs. told her that it is usually triggered by some major stress to the body. That said, there are also 18 trigger points the indicate fibro. She has 16 of them. Don't worry too much about it yet. Especially if that is the only symptom so far. They run every test they can think of because fibro has no specific test to diagnose. Everything else just comes up negative. Does anyone else in your family have it?
My sister had a C-sec 4 years ago and her incision still bothers her and she said the same thing other moms already said about the muscle hurting deep if she moved the wrong way, baby kicked her, leaning over, and stuff like that. |

I don't want to alarm you but does one of your calf at all sore? I know you said your feet are the worst but was wondering about your calf? One of the sign of a blood clot, which can be common after pregnancy, is sore muscle aches, especially in your calf.
You may want to be on top of your doctor and not let this prolong. I am only aware of this is because I was in risk of clots and seen specialist for preventive measure. |

Amanda, i had the exact same problems as you do, my feet were the worst and the chronic pain had me rushing to neurologists, rheumotolgists, endrocrinologists, you name it and i had it done. yes being pregnant can flare up some autoimmune diseases like lupus, ms, thyroid issues, etc, but for me it turned out not to be any of those things cause i had it all checked. the pains will go away but it takes a long time, i had to take prescription ibuprofen for a while until it went away. as for the feet, oh my God.... the pain. sounds like you got yourself a case of plantars fascitis. that's when during your pregnancy your feet stretch out and the skin separates from the fascia causing terrible pains for a long time. i had shots in my feet, took antiinflammatories, had massages, etc, it didnt go away for a long time. one thing worked was getting spa pedicures every other week, eventually the pain went away, but i totally sympathize. i know its hard to believe now, but it will get better! |

Girl! Give yourself a break! I had a c-section back in September and still have back pain and leg joint aches at times. Having a baby, vaginally or through surgery...and then taking care of that baby and the other million things we moms do, can take a toll on the body. So, give yourself the time and attention you need to heal. Your child needs a healthy mommy! Oh, and the calcium vitamins helped me too...and getting off caffeine and back on tons of water...helps keep those ligaments strong and loose. |
