Does anyone know of a brand of baby shoe that fits chubby feet? I was at stride rite looking for shoes, since Emilie is standing I want to get something that would be good for when she starts to walk. I had so much trouble I didnt get anything. Her foot is not just wide, but chubby on the top too.

I wish I knew the answer to this one as well. My daughter is 13 months and I haven't been able to find a single shoe to fit her comfortably. I was going to look at Stride Rite because I was told they were good. She also has feet that are chubby on top so even shoes with velcro straps don't work. I hope someone answers you lol.

Are you close to a Nordstrom's? They have a great shoe department that may have something for her.

no Nordstrom's by me, but i will keep looking. I may just get slippers for the fall, to keep her feet warm when we are out. I will let everyone know if I find some for chubby feet.

I'd recommend Robeez. They are soft and fit nicely on every chubby feet. Some pediatricians also recommend them for babies learning to walk as they don't interfere with natural shape of foot like others. And I saw lots of babies looking comfortable in them. MY son doesn't walk yet but seems to feel fine in them and (suprisingly!!!) doesn't even try to take them off. They cost around $26 so it's not the end of the world.

my son had wide and chubby feet also. I used robezze. Well I use the target brand instead of getting real robezze. But when he started walking more I used stride rite. I had a lady there measure him and was a weird size. I don't really remember what it was but it had another letter on the size than just the wide. I also like buster browns. To save on cost I went to the sride rite outlet store. Good luck, I hope you find something that works.

I was looking for some shoes online for my son and I found a good website on medical research and shoes for kids. I thought you would like to read it.http://www.unshod.org/pfbc/pfmedresearch.htm

thanks so much for all the info. She had a pair of robeez or something like them. They are too small now, but they did leave some red marks on her foot. i do let her go barefoot in the house or just in socks (I wish the rest of the household would do the same since the carpet is trashed).

I also used the robeez for my son when he was first walking. How about crocks? he still has wide feet but they fit him the best.
