How can I find "mommy groups" in my area with moms around my age who have kids close to my daughter's age? I'm the first one of my friends to have a baby and I feel like it's much harder to spend time with them now because they don't understand my "new" life. Meeting for lunch now takes an extra hour to get out of the house and then if Hannah needs something I sit catering to her while my friend has already finished her food and mine sits there getting cold. And when I do get together with my friends without Hannah, most of my conversation revolves around her and I can tell after a while they're just not interested. It just gets frustrating to feel like I have to appologize for the change in our friendships. I'd really like to make some new friends who are experiencing all of this with me and understand where I'm coming from!
