Balance out negativity?
Share how you stop other's negativity from affecting your relationship?
Whether its relatives, girlfriends, neighbors or work buddies.......

How do you balance it out?

One thing I do when my husband shares work buddy problems, is respond with something sympathetic but also with a compliment for my husband.
For example..."Boy that sounds horrible, I'm glad that you don't call me names..."

I get a lot of negativity about my husband from some friends and family. I used to kind of nod and say yeah I understand, or put in my complaint about the situation. Now I tell them how it is. I say the good about him instead of focusing on the negative. Everyone has negative traits. That's just human. But you have a choice you can dwell on the negative or the positive. I try and dwell on the positive. I compliment him on how great he's doing with work and thank him for working so hard.
