On the East Coast here we have a group that's called MOPS Mothers of Preschoolers, usually held in local churches or libraries. Play time for the kids, and food , topics of discussions and crafts for the moms. You can look them up on the net as well.
Try your local library, most have a small kids room, story time and projects. You are bound to meet someone at least once a day.
Stop down at your local chamber of commerce office, you could spend an hour there looking over all the tourist brochures and usually there is someone there that can tell you about the free and cheap places to go to. |
