If you need to get out of the house and meet some people and let your little ones run and play, there are a few "Tot Town" events at local churches, as close to free as you can get and in the airconditioning! I go to one at 67th Ave and Deer Valley, and another is Paradise Valley. I'll post another reply here w/the info.

Good luck getting out there and meeting people, I know how hard it is to be stuck at home.

Suggestions to get out and meet people:

Check local library for the day story time is held for your kids age range.

Tot Town: weekly play for kids in church gyms. Not a church function, just free play for the kids inside, $10 per year. Can't go wrong there... the 2 I know of are:

www.shilohcommunity.com. (around 32nd st and shea/greenway). Tot Town registration is a one-time $10.00 fee that is good from September – August. We renew everyone in September. If someone new registers just in the summer months, then it is only $5.00. You can find out more information on the website.

Mountain Ridge Baptist Church, Glendale. (67th Ave & Deer Valley). After Labor Day will be a $10 charge for the year. Tot Town takes place every Monday from 9:30-11:30 AM in the Life Center. This will be a cool, air-conditioned environment where your children can enjoy creative play. Featured items will be our bouncy house, geotracks, doll house, Little People, balls, tricycles, puzzles and much more. The Ridge Café will be open for drinks, snacks or lunch.
