Hi! I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the soothie brand bottles? I have a 7 month old and have been using them and all of a sudden one of the nipples just falls into the bottle while he is drinking it, causing a HUGE mess! (and LOTS of frustration, especially since it is breastmilk) I thought maybe I just didn't push the nipple in all the way, but it has happened 3 times now! I have thrown that one away, but just wondering if this is normal? Do bottles/nipples wear out? |

I don't have that brand. I purchased Playtex Wide Neck bottles (awful) and switched to Dr. Brown. I read once the bottles are scratched and cloudy, it is time to replace them...same with nipples.
It is a drag to lose breastmilk in results of bottle leakage. I know how it is time consuming pumping can be. I would recommend trying out different bottles and nipples. |

I haven't had any problems with Soothie bottles but I have only been using them for 3 months. I have heard from several friends and family members that they love the Doctor Brown's bottles. I loved Avent bottles at first but then they started getting mysterious leaks and my boyfriend and I were getting milk everywhere when shaking it after heating it up. So, needless to say, we don't use Avent anymore. Good luck and let me know if you find a better brand! |

I've been using the Soothie bottles with my son for a year now and that has never happened to me. They sell replacement nipples, so they very well could just be worn out. I haven't had to replace any yet. I really like these bottles and my son seems to also. When he was younger he wouldn't drink from any other type of bottle. |
