Hi! Im a 31 y/o single mom of a 9 month old boy. The babys father and i broke up before i found out i was pregnant, so ive been single since the begining. I dont really know how this site works yet, so i figured id just throw out a quick hi!

Welcome! You are not alone. I am the single mom of a beautiful 5 1/2-year-old daughter, and her father wasn't around until she was 2-months-old. Now he's in and out. I don't know if one's "better:" a) having a pretty terrible father around sometimes, or b) not having him around at all, but then risking child feeling abandoned. The child support helps, but I wish I didn't need it to get by and instead be able to save it all for college--or for whatever her dream(s) become.
