parents of failure to launch young adults
Public online group

looking for friends at new group
Hi All,I'm always amazed at the lack of support for parents with young adults or even kids who are on the "Spectrum" or just have developmental disabilities or learning disabilities which make it difficult or impossible for these young people to become independent.  Although we are always working with our children toward that goal, we frequently it brick walls with the professionals, run out of ideas, run out of money, and do not have a lot of support.  For me, am all too aware of the stigma of having a child with a disability who hasnt done much with his life, therefor, I don't have a chance to share much with others who understand.  I have friends who love me and are as supportive as they can be, but to truly understand the  constant worry, emotional exhaustion, disapointments and general roller coaster of emotions.... well, I believe it takes one to know one!  If this sounds like your life, let's talk.
