Scared of SOLIDS!
Baby girl turns 6 months old on Sunday! I'm totally nervous about starting solids. A lot of mommies are making their own food for baby, but I'm a frozen meal/fast food kinda gal. I have avocados at the ready and Earths Best in the cupboard, but I don't think I'm good at making good food choices for MYSELF let alone this wee dependent person! Breastmilk was so easy! I'm feeling anxious about this next step. I've done a lot of reading online but am still not feeling confident. Any advice is appreciated!

Hi! I remember when my little one started eating solids, she kept trying to suck on the spoon! One thing I will say is be patient, it is not an overnight thing and may take a while to get use to the new flavors. I am sure you got lots of advice from her doctor about different ways to make a smooth transition from breast to sippy, but if I were you I would see about getting a pump and putting your milk into the cup,  it will help her adjust and give you some time to ajust as well. Do not rush her into comming off the breast, the milk is good for her. My daughter never latched on, so I had to give her formula, she just turned a year and I give her formula still, but give her cows milk at least once a day so she can get use to it. Even if you only give her one solid food meal a day for a couple weeks, it will help her get use to it. One last word of advice, just because she can eat it doesnt mean she should, frenchfries are not good for babies. stick to the babyfood and produce isle for now.
