I am the girlfriend of a full time musician. we do not live together or have kids together but have been a couple for almost five years. I find myself often frustrated and irritated by things that happen at gigs. One of those things is attention my boyfriend receives from female audience members. Often they dance in front of him, take his picture, talk to him and hug him, etc. When I am at gigs, I try very hard not to react, but its difficult. Frequently I am at gigs with friends, and they will stare at me and make comments when those things happen, which does not help. How do others deal with this? I have found that I dont want to attend his gigs because of the chance that this may happen, causing me to get upset and for us to end up fighting. He says "Its part of his job" to be friendly to these women, as they buy CD's, etc. Its just so hurtful.

Also, he runs an open mic that is very popular and tends to go out with friends after and I have found out that there are women included in these gaterhings that go very late at night. Im having a hard time being ok with his lifestyle.
