Suggestions on how one can find time to work-out!?

Good afternoon everyone,

I am a full-time working mom. I have 3 kids, but two of them are grown. I have my wonderful 9-year old little girl at home. She is so very active in dance. We are at dance 3 nights a week, and I'm having a hard time fitting in any workouts let alone good ones.  I have walked the track when she was at dance one day a week, but now the highschool is using it. (How dare them! LOL) Any suggestions on how others do it would be so much appreciated! I see some mom's at dance that are in such good shape! Help!!!

Oh wow..I have this same problem. I think the most important thing is to make exercise a top priority. I think it is easy to put it lower in the list, but it really should be in the top three! If I don't workout I get cranky and even depressed. What kind of mom is that? I know that if I can carve out time it is SO worth it, for my health and for the happiness of my son.

How to fit it in? Well, that's up to each of us individually. I think once it is in your mind as very very important, you will find a way. Go for it!!!

Good luck and keep me posted :)

Hi Sue,

I am constintely complaining to my husband about this same problem.  I have a hard time finding the time but I also don't feel like working out at 10 or 11 at night or 5 in the morning.

I have started just trying to be more active in my day to day routine.  I take the stairs whenever possible, I try and find a moment to take a little walk while at work, I go on walks or play with my daughter at the park, etc. I do feel that this has helped me feel a little better.  However, I would love to find a way to actually get a work out in a few days a week.

Good luck with everything!
