Hi Traci.  I recently turned 40 and have a 3 year old daughter.  This group doesn't appear to be very active, but I try to respond when I receive a new e-mail notification.  I still feel new to this even though I've been raising her on my own since she was 5 months old.  Feel free to private message me anytime or as a question through this thread and I'll try to check back more often.  I may not know the answer to everything, but I'm happy to lend and ear and some support!

  As I started browsing through the site I am figuring out that it is not very active. Thank you for your response. At this time I can not think of one question to ask but when I have a minute to think they will come to me. Thank you for being there when it happens. Do you know of any other support sites? I tried googling but it kept sending me to dating sites & I definitely do not have time for that right now. Is this group for all over or just a certain state?

I believe it's for all over.  Honestly?  I haven't been able to find a good support group and I've looked for 2.5 years.  I too stumble upon dating sites.  I had found another group, but it seemed they talked about everything but parenting there.  This site was recommended to me through a professional reference so I had high hopes.  I do have a few friends who are also single parents and almost wonder if I should just start my own support group.

I think it is a wonderful idea & I encourage you to start one. There are so many people out there that needs a legit site they can go to & feel comfortable. What state are you in?

they have alot of groups for mom (single or not) that meetup at local attractions for kids of all ages.  I joined and there's a meetup everyday where I live, not sure where u live, but I'm sure you'll find something :)  This site is a general site, so there are dating groups ect, but you don't have to join.

I'm in NJ and originally from CA.  What about you?
