You really have been educating your children at home since birth. Learning doesn't start at school age.
You must clarify what you think is time consuming or difficult. How much time do you want to spend with it? You can by the whole year in a pre-made curriculum or design your own. You can use a computer program or only books.
The internet is a great place to start. Ambleside has a great free lesson plan and lots of tips to start. Abeka is a good whole year curriculum. There is also unit studies, lapbook/notebooks, and living books. Browse homeschool on the internet and have a few hours to look. Do you want a Christian based plan or secular?

Also look for a homeschool group in your area. They are a wealth of information and support. There are co-ops where parents trade teaching subjects or ones that do field trips and play dates.
Once you get an idea of what you want to do, then there is tons to find.
