What is your reason for wanting to homeschool? That may give you a point to start getting information.
Do you want a whole year in a box or on the computer or do you want to pick your own book or unit study for each subject? Ambleside gives a great free lesson plan for almost free homeschooling. Your library is a great resource.
Abeka or Sonlight is a good way to start. Everything is planned for you for the grade level. That way you can try it out and see where your kids are. Grade level isn't aways age level. My daughter is gifted/excelled. She reads at a fourth grade level and is just turned seven. So a pre-made curriculum doesn't work for me.
Do you want strictly a Christian curriculum? How do you want to teach science?
There is so much you can find on the internet. Looking for a local homeschool group is a great way to meet other homeschoolers for help, fellowship, and support.
Don't expect everyone to be supportive of your decision. But you know what you want for your children.
You can email me privately and ask questions. I will help you as much as I can. amymorgan1970@aol.com
