Hi Marie! I live in Waverly, my son is three years old, too. :) If you're looking for a way to meet new moms you should check out the local MOPS group. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at Athens Wesleyan Church on Wilawana Road. Meetings start at 9:30 and run until about 11:30. There is childcare so you can have some kid-free time to meet other moms. The first meeting is free, after that it's $3 per meeting, but there are scholarships available if you can't pay that. We don't want anyone to not come because they don't have the money.
Also, there's Farmland Animal Park in Chemung. It's open all year long, and my son loves seeing and feeding the animals. The Family Resource Center in Waverly is a lot of fun, too, especially on colder or rainy days.
