What would you do...?
If you had the whole house to yourself, no kids, no husband, for 24 hours?

I was thinking about this morning when I was having a hard time getting my butt out of bed. I think I would lay in bed and sleep for a long long time until I am completely satisfied, then I will clean and organize the house a little, these are things that I never seem to get done when my kids are around or my husband is home. Ohh...and maybe make some cookies!

Then I'd probably miss them all like crazy and beg them to come home. :)

I would start off with breakefast in bed then follows by renting a romantic movie and making.... no buying chips and soda and eatting while watching tv in bed then pick up a bit cause I cant stand my hose dirty and by night take a bubble bath and read a book with a margarita by my side.

Lol hey its 24 hrs I would enjoy it

Okay I would definitely NOT clean. Even though it's tough to get done with my daughter around I do what I can during her naps and when my husband is home and I do not love cleaning so no way I am doing that when I have a day to myself. I would definitely sleep in until I couldn't lie in bed any longer, then eat whenever and whatever I wanted and watch chick flicks or the shows I love on Bravo that my husband won't watch. Maybe later on have a glass of wine and a bubble bath and take a nap (I LOVE naps!) Then eat some more. Of course wherever they were I would probably call a hundred times to ask what she's doing because she is too cute and does new things all the time and I would miss her even though I would enjoy the peace and quiet.

take a shower. Wow I don't even know what it's like to have a completely uninterrupted shower anymore. I'd shave my legs and wash my hair . Then spend the rest of the day watching tv or reading and eating nothing but junk food so i didn't have to cook.

I would definatly sleep in. No Cleaning, I do enough of that all the time. Then just relax and watch movies, and then take a long bath and yes shave my legs.I would call daddy all day to check up on my little girl, she is the sweetest thing. I would miss her so much, but enjoy my time alone.

Yes, I would definitely stay up a little later the night before and clean, so that when I finally decided to get up-- in front of my eyes would be a home that stayed clean for 24 hrs! or maybe even 48 hrs, if they came home late! lol

Then, I wouldn't sleep in too long, so that I could go get my nails done -- peti & mani! And go to the bookstore and grab a book and a sandwich and spend the afternoon under a shady tree, in a park or overlooking the ocean and just read, and then go. . .Oh, I'm hungry, I think I'll just make another sandwich so there' s no messing my clean kitchen! lol

And then, about the late afternoon I'd miss them all so much and be bored! Of course, after surfing the mommy websites lol

I would get up and start the day with a very ling hot bath in my whirlpool. i dont even know why we have it i never get to use it. I would clean my house the night before so i would see a nice clean house when i got up and maybe not trip on toys when i woke up. Then i would relax and watchLaw an Order SVU. then want my family back with me.

Hmmm, I would sleep forever and then do anything without interuption. Read, NOT watch cartoons, paint. Oh what a fantasy.

I would begin the day by sleeping in until at least 11 or 12, drinking a HOT cup of coffee(usually by the time I can get to it, it's cold), taking a long shower(even shaving my legs), going for a looooong overdue pedicure(I can't take the baby and the salons are closed before my boyfriend gets home from work), and finally go shopping(it's so hard to try on clothes when you have a cranky baby and a stoller in the tiny dressing room with you). Of course, as great as all of this seems, I would have to make sure my cell battery was fully charged so that I could call to check on my little angel at least every 15 minutes.

I would definitley sleep until noon then i'd curl up with a book. I would take a very long bath afterwards because these days i only get to take maybe a 10 minute shower if i'm lucky and i'd order takeout and watch tv for the rest of the day. I wouldn't even look at the sink 'cause it seems i wash dishes everyday and funny enough this is one thing i hate so much.( I paid my sis to wash them when we were kids). lol.

I actually had to think about this and come back to it today! So I figured if I knew ahead of time it was coming then I could plan something nice. I have two issues-one is that I'm an early riser, and second I hate getting up to a dirty house especially a dirty kitchen. So first, I would clean the house the day before and scrub the floors before I went to bed that night then I could wake up to my "24 hours" peacefully.
I would get up on time, shower and pamper myself and dress really nice. Then (weather permitting) would take a leisurely walk to a coffee shop and enjoy a nice cup with a treat and the newspaper, walking back home I would buy lots of flowers and place them in each room.(Or drive to a farm market). Now in a clean and pretty relaxed atmosphere of my home I would enjoy curling up with a book or magazine and not feel the least bit guilty if I fell a sleep for a mid morning nap :)
In the afternoon (hopefully I could find a friend to join me) for perusing antique shops and thrift stores for a few hours, and since I'm usually broke, splurge on grapes, cheese, crackers and the makings of a british-tea-type late lunch-early dinner.
Stopping at the library on the way home to pick up a funny movie or two and a book/magazine. In the evening I would spend some time gardening or tinker with something I haven't been able to do in ages. finally finishing my night with a hot bubble bath and book/magazine and head to bedroom (also filled with flowers of course) and watch my funny movies in a perfectly made bed and clean sheets!

Ahh, the ability to dream................

I would sleep in a little, but not too late, then I would take the train to San Francisco and browse bookstores and lunch cafes all by myself. I am always envious of all those people using amtrak who are blissfully reading away with no kids screaming! Maybe I'd get my nails done too.

I guess I would just take out all my crafting stuff (dollhouse miniatuers that's it) and would go into a session of sanding, painting, gluing, sewing etc. And probably forget myself totally as I miss this stuff a lot but am too tired to do anything most of evenings and there is no way I can do anything like that with my crawling, trying to stand up and very energetic boy around.
I'd miss my baby and my hubby but would use this time, that's for sure and don't see anything wrong in it. And I'd know they'll be back so...
Yeah, definitely, I would work on one of my projects-to-be... There is a contest I wanted to take part in but the deadline is so close and I have only materials and idea, didn't do anything... But still promissing myself I'll try!
