Looking To Work From ome
Hi there. I'm a new mom of a beautiful baby girl and am dreading the fact that I have to go back to work when I'm done with my maternity leave. I was wondering if any of you work from home and if you know of any companies who can offer me to work from home. I would much appreciate any replies. Thank you.

Hi Rita,

I totally understand where you are coming from. I was in the same place a few months ago. I dreaded going back to work and looked like crazy for a work at home job. Unfortunately, I was unable to find anything that wasn't shady. All of the work at home opportunities online are either scams or require a personal investment to get started. I ended up having to take a PT job 3 days a week in order to make enough money to help support my family, but ideally I would still like to find something at home. Let me know if you hear anything promising. One suggestion I do have is take a look at a website called vipdesk.com. They are a concierge type service where you answer incoming calls on a dedicated 800#. All of there employees work from home. I tried applying, but they didn't have anything for me. I think it hurt me that I did not have a home office already set up. It's worth a shot if you don't mind that type of work.

Congratulations on your baby girl, how old is she? Good luck with your search.

Everything I've seen seem to be scams as well. The only thing I know of that is true work from home is medical transcription. Even that isn't easy to get. You have to have medical coding experience (or schooling) and the medical transcription courses you find that will teach you all you need to know and offer some sort of job placement after the fact are over $3,000 for the course. They do pay you by the line though (like $0.04/line) so you don't end up making a LOT of money.

I got a part time evening a few days a week instead of going back to work full time and paying for daycare.

I know exactly how you fee. Lately I have started to think about going back to work, and I just can't bring myself to do it. I am thinking of starting a home business in marketing. It is not a scam, but it does take a commitment. If you would like more information, let me know and I can send you some information to see if it is something you might be interested in.

I have found the same thing, but I found a wellness company that has been around for 22 years, you don't need any inventory and its no selling. It is also a healthier alternative for you and your family. I found out that most of our baby products contain formeldahyde. If you would like any info let me know.

I am a new Mom to a 13 week old baby boy, Charlie. I went back to work 3 days a week PT. And even though my Mom has him when I am at work, I hate being away from him! I have tried looking for work at home opportunities as well and have been unsuccessful. Any suggestions?

I, personally, am looking for part time. I don't want anything that is going to be time consuming, otherwise it defeats the reason that I want to work from home and be with my son all day everyday. I can't wait for any great opportunities! Thanks!
