wont stop crying!!!

omg!!! my year and six month old has given me the biggest tantrum ever!!! i swear its been over 20mins of crying. i was told the best thing to do during a tantrum is to ignore them. im laying down on tge floor in my kids room maybe i need to get out idk, but he has not stopped crying he is slowing down and isnt throwing himself everywhere. i jus dont know what caused this tantrum and how to avoid it from happening again.
