when you dont have control on how your step daughter is raised because she lives with her biological ghetto mom it can be very difficult. when she comes over my house is in choas

Sometimes (often sadly enough) my boyfriend's kids will come over from their mother's COMPLETELY out of control & I feel like it takes hours to a full day to reel them back in. What I've found helpful is having a standard routine when they first get there so energy is being immediately redirected. For me it's been deciding what's for dinner & what portion each is going to assist in. It's easy stuff too, one will volunteer to set the table, another to clear it, one always wants to stir something... Maybe redirecting could work for you too. Good luck!!
