Hi Amber,

The best thing I've found so far is to let the tantrum happen but not feed into it.  Be there and be supportive and loving and understanding, but don't give in to what the toddler can't have or do if it's really not okay to have/do.  Tantrums are happening because feelings are overwhelming sometimes, and kids just need to learn to deal with those feelings.  It'll get better with time.

Good luck!

hi amber! now is the time you might want to start some form of disipinary action for unacceptable behaviour. its up to us parents to try different ways of disipline, to see whats gonna work, theres time-outs, takeing toys/ or privaledges away, spanking, etc.  good luck with your precious little one!, and GOD bless!

Please, please reconsider spanking as an option.  It should not be one, in experts' opinion.

See the babycenter article on it here: http://www.babycenter.com/0_spanking-grounding-and-yelling-does-old-fashioned-discipline_3657191.bc
