My boyfriend is a bass player in a rock band. He ALWAYS sweats on stage and tries to keep a small hand towel in reach to wipe the sweat off his face during songs. I got him various hand towels with monogrammed sayings on them. One said "Musician". Another said "Rock Hard!" Another said the name of his band. I was worried at first because what guy would want a towel as a gift?!? But turns out...he loved them and I love seeing him use them on stage!
I also bought him a webcam to put on his laptop so that we can skype on a regular basis. We use it ALL THE TIME!!
Lastly...one thing that really showed him I cared was a series of envelopes with dates on each for each day he would be away from me. Inside each envelope would be something different. One would have a pic of us, another would have an inside joke, another would have a love letter, another might have the lyrics to a song that we both love. Again...I was nervous that it was too cheesy for a guy in a rock band...but he loved it and still talks about it to this day.
