Hi, I am new here, this is my 1st post, but I totally understand your problem!!  My 14 week old wouldn't sleep anywhere but in her car seat for the 1st 9 weeks of her life.  She has reflux so that may have been why she liked it so much, but after those 9 weeks of just feeling like the worst mom b/c I had my baby sleeping in a carseat, I finally just had to suck it up and go through MANY sleepless nights trying and trying and trying to put her in her crib.  I started a nightime routine:  bathtime, final bottle, then rocking...she would always fall asleep but as soon as I put her in her crib she would sleep for 5 minutes and then wake up...I would just pick her up, rock her back to sleep and put her back in.  For the 1st week, she literally would wake up 4 or 5 times at 1st and then every hour...she hated it.  But I kept with it, and now at 14 weeks she sleeps in her crib all night and for about 8hrs at a time, so it DOES get BETTER...

Im not saying that what I did is the answer but do what you have to do at 1st to get your sleep and when your ready ,start really trying for the bassinet and/or crib!!

GOOD LUCK, I know how hard it is!!

do you have a crib yet? how old is she? my son slept in his bassinet till he was 3 months and it got to crowded. i had to be the firm mommy because when i started putting him in his crib he was not having it. basically you have to let them cry it out sometimes. if you have changed her and fed her and played with her and its time for her to take a nap just let her cry for a little. no more that 10 mins tho but more as she gets older. now my son is 5 months and i put him down at 8 every night and he knows its bedtime. during the day the same thing. if i put him in his crib he knows hes supposed to fall asleep. if shes really young then she does need more hugs and kisses but it will get better. my son takes two 1-2 hour naps and sleeps from 8pm-7am every night. you will get your break it just takes a little time :)

My daughter was born at 30 weeks, so she spent her first three months in a hospital crib.  When we got home, she slept in a bassinet in my room and sometimes with me.  When she was 9 months old, she wasn't sleeping as well, so I moved her into a crib in her own room.  I agree with Amy that it may just be crowded in there.  My daughter is a flopper (she moves alot in her sleep), so she needs the extra room.  She knows the crib is her bed and only gets in bed with us maybe once a week (usually Sunday mornings).
