Hi, I`m new here :) Nice to meet all of you!

I don`t live in US yet but we`re going to move there rather soon. So I`d like to ask experienced parents of Reno few important ( at least for me ) questions.

My son (9 years old) has long hair. He likes it, I also like it and I think he looks pretty good in this style. You can see him on my profile picture. But my mom told me today that in Reno were she lives long hair is absolutely unacceptable thing for boy :( That if I want him to be happy at school I have to cut his hair short before we go to US... I`m in shock! Here in Israel boys easily сarry hair of any length and everybody`s ok with it.

Please tell me what do you think about it? Do you think that my boy may really have a problem in the middle school if he comes there with long hair?
