My name is Shannon. I have 2 children. An 18 month old girl. And a 3 year old boy. My son was just diagnosed with autism 6 months ago. I have been looking for a support group to help me cope and understand. None of my friends children have any disabilities so it's been hard to find parents to talk to who understand and relate. I look forward to meeting everyone here.

Hi Shannon.  I have very few friends with kids, let alone ones with disabilities, so know how you feel.  I found an Autism moms group here in CT, but don't get together with them often.  It is just so hard with little ones, as you know.  But I am a part of the email list so I get info on great events and resources.  People are always asking the group questions about therapists, doctors, sitters, etc.  Hopefully you can find a group like that local to you.
