Anyone having any trouble getting their daughters ears pierced?? I tried to get them done yesterday and they asked me about the tentis (sp?) shot. I said I don't vaccinate and I got a look.....and she said we can't do it. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this. I asked her doctor yesterday at her 3 month appointment he said go for it.

Emilie doesn't have her ears pierced, I am going to have her wait until she is in her teens (like I did). They may not want to do it for ins. reasons, if she gets a bad infection you could blame them. Look for another place that will do them just be careful, as some places may not be clean. Also just an FYI, my friend went to get the tentis for her kids since they had bought a farm that had an old barn on it. The package says not to give to kids under 7. |

Please please please don't get your daughter's ears pierced at some shop in the mall. Those piercing guns are so dangerous. They can't sterilize them and they harbor all sorts of nasty diseases. The person who does the piercing doesn't have any real training and they aren't required to because they aren't licensed piercers.
Seriously consider getting it done at a real piercing shop by a piercer who has had years of experience, has equipment to sterilize the needles and knows what he is doing. |

| I got my daughter's ears pierced a month ago with no problem. I have heard of some places making sure you have your paperwork for the two month shots and what not. We didn't run into that problem. We got her's done in the mall. I felt comfortable with the person that did it. They didn't use the ear gun. My daughter hasn't had any problems with the ear rings. No infection and they are healing pretty fast. I would say keep looking. My friend went to Claire's by her house they said no..then when to the one by my house and there wasn't a problem. |
