Good Morning Tarah,

I feel your pain, i moved from my hometown of Buffalo a few years ago to Orange Coutny NY, where i havent really met alot of people so i feel pretty alone as a first time mom and have been trying to reach out to other mothers in the area and havent had alot of luck, if you ever want to chat about mommyhood and babies or just anything i am looking for the fellow mommy companionship...so i see you have a 3 month old... boy/girl? i have a 5 1/2 month old boy...they grow so darn fast...it feels like yesterday he just turned 3 months

HELLO! I am super stoked because if I am correct in assuming you are in Boulder, Colorado? I am in Superior, about 10 minutes away, and have been trying very hard to meet moms. It just hasn't been happening so far. Our 10 month old son Aedin has not had much exposure to other kids and needs to get used to them. Please message me back! I would love to get together at a park or something sometime! I don't work right now, so just let me know!!!

Hi!  I am a new mom, also!  I moved from my hometown in MI to NY with my bf and his family and am looking for mommies like me in Queens, NY to chat or have playdates or whatever!  Totally bored here, and this is supposed to be the never sleeping city???  I'm yawning right now....

I am so glad you guys responded I would love to chat about anything and everything, especially after a day like today! Not having anyone to really vent to since I don't really know anyone here or most of my friends are childless so don't really get what is going on.

Sarah: I have a little girl, Hayden, what is your little boy's name? And you are right I can't believe how fast they grow and the fact they learn to do something new everyday! I have tried reaching out to different people too but it seems like several are kind of cliquish or just not really that interested in meeting new people. I love meeting new people so don't quite understand that mentality. So tell me a little about yourself!

Aili: HURRAY!! Yes I know where Superior is!! I practically live at Costco! :D I would love to meet up and hang out! So you have a son named Aedin, he should get on just fine with Hayden. ;) Normally I am pretty much free but for the next couple of weeks I am kind of slammed, starting a new job (luckily I can bring Hayden to work with me...), and have a friend coming from out of town but after  the 18th I am pretty much a free agent and back to working part time and would absolutely love to hang out.. I don't know any parks in Superior.. I know the ones here in Boulder but wherever you like is fine by me.

Mejuana: How is old is your child? Boy? Girl? Hahaha yeah I would think in a big city it would be easier to meet people because there is so much to do but I guess it's hard everywhere.

Aww, Hayden i love that name, it was actually on our list of names, but the day before my water broke i heard the name Rylan and it just stuck. Im so happy for you finding a fellow mommy on here that is so close, most moms on here from NY are all in the city.. :( too far for me. I ran into a new thing with Rylan last night were he had a coughing fit (we both caught a cold and are at the tail end of it with lots of coughing) he threw up his entire bottle all over him his crib and blanket, this morning he did the same thing with his cereal...have you ran into that yet...this was very new for him and i may call the Pediatrician tomorrow morning

Hi All,

My son's name is Landon and is 19 months.  He is very adventurous and right now thinks he should have those kiddie cheese puffs for breakfast...(not gonna happen).lol.  I'm glad that you two are very close so you can have some mommie to mommie interaction. That's great!

Sarah:  As far as that throwing up thing.....yep-totally had that with Landon....still do every now and then.  The pediatrician said it was a sort of baby acid reflux....with the cold the mucus gets stuck in his nasal/throat passage and when he coughs it all comes tumbleing out.  I recommend keeping Pinesol and detergent close by because that is the only thing that will get the rosey smell out.  I know it is scary for the baby to be throwing up (I was terrified he would choke) but the doc also said elevate his bed....so just put a pillow there to boost it and it will help out. Hope this helps....I've learned NEVER to make spinach soup for him again....well, atleast until he is a little older.

Haha that's how I felt with the name Hayden. Heard it once and just kept coming back to me no matter what other names I looked at. Good grief I thought the one time Hayden threw up practically her whole hour nursing session in one gulp was bad but mmm spinach soup coming up sounds way worse!
