You might want to check out meetup.com. I belong to a moms group through that site in NJ. Maybe they have some groups in your area. Or look up a local yahoo group. Also libraries and bookstores (B&N, Borders) have story times for various age groups on a weekly basis. Some libaries/bookstores also do crafts. It is all free! I also suggest going to your local mall (if you have one) or a local park. I've met some nice moms and kids in the play areas/playgrounds (free again!). For money, there are always play places, like My Gym, Gymborree, and The Little Gym. I don't know if those are in your area, but they are great for getting little kid energy out! Unfortunately they are not cheap. I hope this helps! |
