new girly!

Hey there ladies,

Im new to this group and the site and am always looking for advice and new friends. Im 23 years old so im a young mom with a 2 year old. I had to give up a lot at 20 to become a mom and start planning a family. (Not your ideal sophmore year of college.) lol. I find it hard sometimes to still feel young and still look good. Im so consumed with baby, work, and school i can feel myself letting myself go. (which should not happen at 23)

ANyone have this problem?

It's hard being in the "mom" category when it seems like you should still be in the "prime" category. Just enjoy it! In 10 years your peers may be envious of you. There are pros & cons to everything, look at your 2 yr old and you'll know the sacrifices are worth it!

I gave up a lot really young too... so I totally know where you are coming from!

Crystal,

I see you have much going for you and although you may not see it, you do. Going to school, working towards your nursing certificate and being a mom is all hard work and you're only 23 so you're doing a great job!! Now to get you to feel young and hot is all about some time management. I am 36 and a first time mom so its hard for me because I'm older so more tired and need to get ready cuz I'm older. lol...You get what i mean =) So my advice is get ready first thing in the morning like I do. It seems to work for me and I then feel good all day. I am a stay home mom so i know your schedule is a bit crazier but still try and put yourself first. When your happy and feel good about yourself your son and soon to be hubby feel your all that you feel; strength, confidence and happiness. Your son is older so I'm thinking things should be a bit easier because I've been a nanny off and on for over 15years and my option is its easier when their older. My point is maybe when your son is having b-fast you get ready and make sure its enough time to where you feel good at what your looking at. I know your a young woman but Crystal from what I read and feel your doing a great job and if you where my daughter I would be proud of you. Not only are your working towards bettering yourself but giving your son a better future too. So my main point is when you have small windows of free time make then yours by doing a little something for you. Also, your young and have given up a lot but keep working hard as you are and all the reward will follow because GOOD THINGS HAPPEN TO THOSE WHOM WAIT AND WORK HARD. Have faith in yourself and be strong because your fun will come when your making good money as a nurse and your son will be old to do more fun things. =)

If you ever need to talk' I'm here.
