Hi, my name is Kim.  I have a 16 mo boy that I stay at home with.  Lately, I have been really needing something different.  He can be hard to entertain and I think he needs more interaction than just me.

Does anyone feel the same way?

I have 3 kids, my youngest is also a 16 month old boy! It can be very hard to entertain them at this age b/c while they are so busy there are only a few activities that is safe for them to participate in. One of the things that my son absolutely loves (and it is quite messy) is finger painting with yogert! It sounds really wierd but at this age they are exploring feeling and textures. This is a safe fun way for him to do this. I went to the dollar store and bought a big vynal table cloth and put it on the kitchen floor. gave him the cup of yogert and let him have at it! He had so much fun! Of course he went right into the tub when he was done! Also if you search online there are some really great craft web sites that have activities for the kids that are kinda inbetween infant and toddler. Things like edible finger paint and edible playdoh.
