I am currently studying to become an elementary teacher (2 more years to go) however today I realized I would not be able to take my daughter to her first day of kindergarden! (she is only 4 months) I was crushed, I even thought about changing my major! Any moms out there, that where in this position? How did you deal? |

If it bothers you that much maybe you should change majors. but if this is your dream you shouldn't let go of it our you will probabley have regrets, compromise is probably your best bet. Or maybe you will be at a school teaching and your daughter can go to the school you work at, so you can have both your career and the important milestones in you daughters life, I am no expert because I was able to stay at home with my kids and see the first 2 off to school. There are many maybes about the future, and it will work it self out. but don't give up on your dreams and goals because that will show your daughter what a wonderful mom she has, who can juggle a career and a family. Good luck and best wishes |

One of my friends is an elementary school teacher, and she was able to enroll her son at the school she works at, now she has the best of both worlds. |
