sad thought
I am currently studying to become an elementary teacher (2 more years to go) however today I realized I would not be able to take my daughter to her first day of kindergarden! (she is only 4 months) I was crushed, I even thought about changing my major! Any moms out there, that where in this position? How did you deal?

I wouldn't worry yourself too much about that issue. When my oldest started kindergarten, there was a little girl whose Mom was a teacher, and she was there taking pictures of her little one. I think you could somehow be there if you really wanted to. You have plenty of time to think about it! :)

Amanda, I was a teacher as well before I had my little one, and plan to go back once she starts kindergarden. My daughter will probably attend the same school I teach at, since that would be much easier for all of us as far as rides go. I plan to be right there with all the other moms taking pictures and giving her hugs, but then I just will have to run down and pick up my own students! You'll figure it out my dear, relax! You've probably got way more to think about at this point!

Thank you! It never crossed my mind until yesterday when I was looking through her baby book, and saw the page for first day of school! I can't imagine not being there for it! I will definetely make it work. Hopefully we will be at the same school.
