January Reading

Hey everyone!  What are you reading this year?

I just finished Beauty by Robin McKinley.  It is a retelling of the Beauty and the Beast.  Very good book.  It is written for a younger audience but is still a good read.  I would recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy books or even if you just like the Disney movie.

Next I am reading The Siege of Macindaw the sixth book in the Ranger's Apprentice series.  Another young adult book.  I love this whole series so this should be another good read.

Ive recently read:

The Doctor's Wife by Elizabeth Brundage. Really good read.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I do not enjoy his style of writing....but after about 75 pages into the book it started to flow for me. Once I got past that I was really able to get into it. Great book. Worth pushing thru. Sorta haunting.

The girl with the dragon tattoo, the girl that played with fire, and the girl who kicked the hornets nest by Steig Larsson. All three books took me some time to get into. But again, great reads. Disturbing.

i finished acheron  and one silent night by sherrilyn kenyon. loved the stories. nice to see a soft side to stryker for once. it gave a back story as to why he comes off as such a jerk. the first half of acheron broke my heart and i had to hold back my tears but i am glad he had a happy ending after all. i am 3/4 through breaking dawn . this book is taking forever but it is worth it in the end. i also recently read exclusively yours and undeniably yours by shannon stacey. they are only available in ebook but are so worth the purchase. they are the first 2 in her kowalski series. i can loan them to anyone who is interested

I just started When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris.  This is the first book I have read by him and I think he is hilarious so far.  Anyone else read anything by him?
