Hi Jadie - Welcome! Not sure how old your kids are but I might suggest a few things. First I would checkout meetup.com for some mom's group's in your area. I'm a member of BEAM (Bellevue, Eastside Active Mom's) that I love. Just plug in your zip and things like stay at home mom's or what ever and you should come up with some to look at.
Check out a few local news letters that give you great idea's for kids and things to do. Some have some references to playgroups and resources here too. www.rubyslipperguide.com (for eastside only) http://www.redtri.com/seattle It's a website with lots of local stuff and resources too (but more torwards Seattle based) and http://www.parentmap.com/.
The Bellevue College also offers a great resource for a parent child class that most folks love and you can start your kids early through Kindergarden. I know folks who have gone and their kids still keep in touch 4 years later.
