I've been having some weird abdominal pains. A couple weeks ago i reached off the edge of the bed to take something away from the cat and it felt like i had pulled my incision (had a c-section) on the right side. For a few weeks after that i had somewhat stabbing pains, and now i get them on the left side as well. It feels like someone is poking me with a needle. And just in the last few days i've had this weird pain in what seems to be my cervix. When I stand up or sit down really fast it almost feels like I have a tampon in and i'm sitting on it funny. Anyone ever have anything like this?? I"m really confused as to what it might be. I thought maybe it was a bladder infection, sometimes it feels like it's my bladder too and sometimes i feel like i still have to pee after i've already gone to the bathroom. But i've had quite a few bladder infections before and this doesn't feel like it. Another thought was a yeast infection, but i don't itch, just have a funky smell especially after sex. And sex has been almost painful too. I have an IUD, could this be posing a problem?? |

did you have a cath placed in your bladder. I had a horrible bladder infection and did not know it after child birth. It was not treated by my idiot doctor(got a new one) and it became a kidney infection 2 months later. I almost died it was so bad. I thought the pain was in my head, but he forgot to look at my labs when I complained about odd pains and they did a urine sample. Could also be another type of infection especially with the pain during sex and the odd smell. There are lots of infections that a woman can get that are not STD's left untreated they cause some of the symptoms you are talking about. The hospitals are sooooooo dirty, and if you had any labor and they checked you frequently they could have passed something too you. I would go to the doc and let them check you.
Good luck |

I've never had a c-section, so I don't know the dos and don'ts or the risks, but I had breast tumors removed a few years ago and the healing process sounds similar to what you are going through with the pains. It felt like I was being stabbed with needles in the areas where the tumors were. The doctor told me this was due to the nerve endings healing where the tumors were removed. It took about a year before I stopped noticing the pains and they did get duller over time. I would call your doctor to make sure though. There is no stupid question when it comes to your health!
Also, I had my daughter natural, but I had pain in the area of my cervix and the first couple of times my husband and I had intercourse. It may all just be a part of the healing process. |

I have had a c-section too. I had a lot of strange pains too. You may consider calling your ob/gyn and checking it out with them, there could be someting else going on.I don't have an IUD so I don't know if that could be causing the problem. |

I didn't have a c section so I don't know what that could be, but it might have something to do the nerves there. Also, the funky smell could be a bacterial infection. You can have one without symptoms. I would go to the doctor and write down everything. Make sure they know everything that is going on. You know your body best and if you feel like something is off have it checked out. |

i have an IUD and perhaps they IUD shifts. it does sound like a bladder infection. something is definitely wrong so please go see your doctor. what if they left a sponge or something inside, you need to make it a point to tell your doctor that you are in an adnormal amount of pain and discomfort so he checks all areas - your urine, does a pelvic cat scan or sonogram or mri, whatever, check everything. give you a blood test and a papsmear. everything. i hope everythign works out. i had a mastectomy and wasnt in that much discomfort. |
