Scared about CPS

My husband and I are working things out right now.  Basically, CPS is involved because my husband was abusing my daughter, and I reported it to CPS.  Now, I am living with my sister-in-law.  My husband wants to get help.  He is in a rehabilitation program.  He had to go to jail to take care of a warrant, so he can get that off his record.  My CPS worker called me, and told me that she has had thoughts of taking my child away because I have been around my husband.  I have not let my husband around my daughter.  I feel like everyone deserves a chance to change.  She wants me to come to a team meeting to talk about the issue and wants my husband to come if he gets out of Jail on Tuesday.  I am scared.  I don't want the CPS worker taking my daughter away.  She warned me if I did go back to my husband, she would take my daughter away.  She did not say that on the phone.  She has thought about it, but she wants to discuss it with me and talk about her concerns about the issue.  I told her that I have not let my husband around the baby and he has not come over to the house.  I just meet him somewhere to talk.  I need advice.  Has any mother been involved with CPS?

No

i have not been there but I cant see hurting my child for ANY reason. If he changes he will do so to better himself because he lost hs family over it but now it is your turn....

You must pick one...your child or your husband....

Are you really saying you are willing to work things out with the man that hurt your child...his child!!! And have your child taken away for him?! Has the child not been through enough? Should you not stay by your childs side and let your husband take the heat for his own doing?

I went to the team meeting for CPS.  The CPS worker is giving me time to do better.  I can keep my daughter.  I am not going to see my husband or talk to him.  I am going to put my daughter first.  The CPS worker is going to get me into a program to help me be a better mother and get me into counseling.  I am looking forward to that.

NO he hurt your child once until his CPS officer gives you the all clear, he has no rights to be around your child.
