Produce Coop

Hi all, I have talked about this with several of you and wanted to share the website for a community produce coop that I tried out a few weeks ago.  If you're interested here's the website:

www.communityhelpingscoop.com

All the different areas that they go to are listed on the left so just click on your area and then the whole menu of stuff comes up.  I thought it was a great idea but we really got too much stuff in the standard $23 basket and ended up freezing a lot but some still got wasted.  But if you go through a lot of produce you should check it out!

Hey Betsy! I checked out the produce website and signed up but I am confused. How do you order the $23 basket? I only found individually priced produce. I thought you mentioned it was a variety of items for $23. Do you pick the items you want that add up to that amount. I'm confused. I may have missed something on the site. Let me know! Thanks

Hey, yeah, I was super confused at first too.  You just click on the place you would want to pick up from on the left under Categories, so you would click on Wentzville, then it's the first thing listed, but I just looked and for some reason the Wentzville one says $0.  Normally under all the other locations it says $23 for "conventional produce" and that is the variety basket of all kinds of stuff.  Maybe that's cause Wentzville is a new location, I would e-mail them and ask.  I hope it works out for you.
