my daughter first started at 6 months old she was diagnosed with hypoxic ischemic injury(oxygen deprivation),with infantile spasms, she would tense her upper body and her eyes would wander aroound she would be unresponsive, she had about 10 of those in 3 days then was put on keppra(levetiracetam) and the spasm seizures ceased, a couple months later i was feeding her and her eyes started watering up and wandering around, she seemed very confused, but moving around, her pupils would get really big and small rapidly for a couple minutes. she did this every day sometimes a couple times a day for 2-3 months they raised her medication constantly with no results one day she ceased having the absence seizures for a couple of months then a couple weeks ago she started tensing up her eyes would go up in the corner and stay in one spot, as she would tense up she would hold her breath sometimes so long i would plug her nose and breath in her mouth to get her to breath again, her legs would stiffen up, when she would release she would give out an uncomfortable cry, she had a 15 minute long seizure of tensing and relaxing off and on so i took her to the ER their leaning more towards LGS or West Syndrome and put her on topamax then sent her home after i gave her her medication she started rapidly shaking her head from side to side while she was on her back for one minute straight she stopped seemed confused shook her head one time stopped then shook her head one last time and was done it is soo hard to deal with watching your child have seizures it is difficult especially when their soo young i dont feel like im strong enough sometimes but im giving it everything ive got literally i feel helpless as i watch her have her seizures and now shes having soo many different types i cant tell if abnormal behavior is seizure activity its soo hard i feel for all parents out there going through anything like that thank you for your time,
