October Reading

Sorry I haven't been on here is a while.  Lots of stuff going on for me.  Last night I finished Tempt Me at Twilight by Lisa Kleypas.  Another good one by her although not my favorite.  She is definitely my favorite historical romance author so far.  Now I am re-reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.  I am hoping to re-read 1-6 so I can read number 7 before the movie comes out in November.  I know that is kind of ambitious but I think I might be able to do it.

What are the rest of you reading?

i have yet to read any of the potter books but the last couple movies left much to be desired. i recently finished the darkest night and the darkest kiss by gena showalter . the 2nd and 3rd book in her lords of the underworld series. did not realize the darkest night was the second book until i finished with it. i do have the first one though which is more of a prequel than an actual book. i am now reading the fourth book the darkest pleasure which is reyes book. i am liking it so far. also started 44 cranberry point by debbie macomber 4th book in the cedar cove series and wicked appetitie by janet evanovich . plan to start reading covet by jr ward so i can read crave. i did read the lover unleashed except from the back of crave . march surely cant come soon enough for me...

Right now I am reading Lover Enshrined by J.R. Ward.  It is good so far but the voice of the wizard inside Phury's head is a little weird.  I am also reading Bookends by Jane Green.  This is the first book I have read by her so I am excited to see what it is like.

Allison, you should totally read the Harry Potter books.  They are sooo much better than the movies.  I also want to read the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.  I will probably start with night pleasures since that is the first one.  I know fantasy lover is a prequel but I don't know if I want to read it or not.  You will have to let me know how it is.  Halfway to the Grave is on my list of books to try too so definitely post about that one when you finish.

I am super excited to read Covet and Crave too but I have a couple more books to go in the Black Dagger Brotherhood before I can start on those. The cover of Crave looks awesome.

I just finished Lover Enshrined today.  I liked it a lot although this book is definitely just build up for other books to come.  I would have liked to see a little bit more of a love story between Cormia and Phury.  Still good stuff.  I am kind of on the fence about reading the insiders guide next.  I know you don't have to read it but I think it might be kind of fun.  Really excited to read the next book in the series and find out what happens.  Totally shocked to hear about Lash and all of his dirty deeds.  Very happy Tohr is back.  It will be interesting to see what happens with him in the books to come.

Now I am reading Bookends by Jane Green.  Just a couple of chapters in so far but I like her writing.  It seems like it is going to be your typical fun chick lit.

i liked phury's book but was my least favorite of them all. i agree that him and cormia's story should of had more to it but was still an overall good book especially when zsadist and the other brothers come to him. you dont have to read the whole insiders guide but atleast read the father mine story. gives you some insight on bella and Z.

i have read first 3 cat and bones book. the newest wont be released until march so once i am finished with the series ill be on the fence with them until march as well as the brothers.

have read some kenyon liking her so far onto night embrace tomorrow

I got the insider's guide.  I will be reading that soon.  I was flipping through it at the bookstore and if nothing else it looks like it will be a fun read.  Just finished Bookends by Jane Green.  Good chick lit.  I think you would like it Allison.  Now I am reading Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.  This is the third book in the Hunger Games Trilogy.  Good so far but only about 75 pages in to it.  The first two books are good and I don't think this one will be any different.

i loved the insiders guide and have read through 90 percent of it.  i like jane green the only book of hers that i have read so far is mr maybe and i loved it though i was frustrated with the male lead through half of the book. i am now reading dance with the devil by sherrilyn kenyon and reading the darkest fire, the darkest prison and the darkest whisper , all by gena showalter. happily ever after by nora roberts is pre ordered and i hope to get it in the next couple of weeks

Still reading Mockingjay and that is still good but disturbing.  I am also re-reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.  One of my good girlfriends really likes those Gena Showalter books but I have yet to read one.  Maybe once I finish the BDB I will give those a try.
