Hello!

I'm a mother of one sweet two year old girl with Down Syndrome. She is super happy, loving, healthy and smart. Everyone just loves her. I want to share stories, offer support, ask questions, etc., with you. Hi to everyone in the group! Jules

Hi Jules:

My name is Dawn and I too have a beautiful little boy name Shaun who happens to have Down Syndrome. Shaun will be 4 in December and is currently attending Pre-K in the public school.  He too is doing wonderfully and I feel so blessed every day to have this sweet boy in my life.  Looking forward to hearing more about you and your LO.

Dawn,

Shaun is a cutie! It's exciting that he is in Pre-K. Alexis will be eligible for it when she turns three. I'll miss her so much when she goes to school!

Alexis is learning how to walk right now. She's averaging about 6-8 steps at a time and can stand without support for a really long time. It's great to see her get more independence. Do you have any tips on motivation? When I can get Alexis to think it's her idea to get her to do things, she's very motivated. Some day, she will have to learn how to follow instructions directly, though.

Speaking of my little princess, I hear her waking up. Take care and talk to you soon! Julie
